Resurrection Sunday!
Hello there, ladies! I pray your week is going well! Monday's business prevented me from sharing my Easter weekend with you, but I shall share away today!
I've grown up knowing the reason for the Easter holiday. Year after year I would watch all of the cartoons, animations, and movies about the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. When I was younger, it was all about coloring eggs, going on egg hunts, and getting a huge basket of presents from my mom. As I got a little older, it was about finding the perfect pastel colored dress that wasn't too poofy to make me look like a little girl.
But this year. This year, my heart was truly ready to really soak in the seriousness of this holiday. This year, I felt I could genuinely celebrate with the others. This year, I fully realized just how important Resurrection Sunday is. Our Lord and Savior rose from the dead three days after His crucifixion. He conquered death. AND HE STILL LIVES TODAY!
Yes, Jesus died on the cross for our sins so that we have the opportunity to live in eternity with our Father. Our sins were forgiven. But imagine if Christ just died.
And that was it.
Where would our hope be? Could you imagine that? I can't. I'm so grateful that Jesus not only rose three days later, but that He lives TODAY. He is very much alive today as He was 2,000 years ago. Gosh!
He LIVES. Forever. Amen!
Love you, sis!
Tiffany
P.S. I almost forgot to actually tell you about my Sunday, lol! Church was amazing and my pastor brought the Word that left me convicted and inspired, as usual. Then Toby, some of my friends, and I enjoyed dinner and goofing around at my house! Pretty good, Easter, I'd say!
