Wedding Wednesday: Yes to Which Dress?

I know it's super late, but it's still Wednesday, right?! My first Wedding Wednesday! Ahhh! Can you tell I'm just a tad excited?

In order to not let this little blog turn into all things wedding, I've decided to keep as much wedding-related stuff as I can to Wednesdays. Sounds fair? Yay!

With so many things happening so quickly, it was so hard trying to come up with just one thing to talk about for this week. But, I've narrowed it down to dress shopping.

Last week, when a lot of the stress of starting to make decisions in regards to the wedding began to weigh heavy on me, I decided to spontaneously  visit a wedding gown boutique with Courtney. And boy am I glad I did! Not only was that the pick me up that I needed, but it was so fun! Thank goodness I only went with Courtney; if I had brought anyone else for the preliminary dress search, I would have been overwhelmed with different opinions. But to just worry about my opinion while Courtney oooh'd and aaaaah'd, was perfect!

The lady selected four gowns for me to try on, and guess who fell in love with the first dress? Yup, it was so beautiful and just what I wanted... until I tried on the last dress. Oh my heavenly! It was gorgeous! So much so, that Courtney and I fought hard to hold the tears back as the lady set a matching veil on my head. I went home just thinking about that dress and staring at the picture Court took of me.

I was so sure two of my best friends and my mom would love the dress when I took them to the same store this past Sunday to see me in the dress. They loved it! But we all loved dress #1 better. Now, before you go thinking I changed my mind because my mom and friends liked the first dress, rest assured that wasn't the case. When I put the first wedding dress I've ever tried on again and I looked at myself in the mirror, dress #3 quickly paled in comparison. It just screamed Tiffany!

So did I say yes to the dress? Yes! Did I walk away with the dress being mine? Nope. I want to keep looking! But I will keep y'all posted! I'm just happy to have experienced such a huge milestone as an engaged lady!

Love you, sis!
