Happy 1st Birthday!

Happy birthday, my little blog baby! I can't believe that I have been blogging for a full year! I remember sitting in my room, so afraid to put up my first blog. I was so afraid to boldly talk about my convictions. So afraid to be that Christian.
I have honestly learned so much about myself and blogging this past year: I've learned that I have a unique voice, testimony, and story that will not and should not mimic someone else's. I've learned that html is pretty much the devil in disguise (btw, do you like the new facelift Dear Sister has gotten?!). I've learned that most people like when I talk about my relationship than when I talk about Jesus. I've learned that this little blogging platform isn't about my readers (although I love y'all!) or me; it's about and will always be about Jesus. I've learned the importance of this little space: to help make sense of my walk to become more in the image of Christ, and to ultimately spread the Gospel.
What do I hope to see in the next year? I hope to see growth: growth in my walk with Chirst, growth in wisdom, growth in my love for people... I pray that when people come to this place, they ultimately see my Savior and they are inspired and encouraged to start or endure on this journey. I just want to be a woman after God's own heart, and to inspire some of my Dear Sisters along the way.
Happy first birthday, Dear Sister!
