Sharing is Caring

Good morning, lovelies! Doesn't it feel like Monday was like three days ago?! Maybe it's just me, but last week came and went so quickly. Before I knew it, Sunday was here and it was time for church.

A question from yesterday's sermon has been replaying in my head over and over since it was asked: How am I using my talents and knowledge for the glory of God and the advancement of the Kingdom? I seriously love questions that spark me to really evaluate my walk with Christ!

To be completely honest, I don't know the full answer to this question. I mean, I try to use this blog to point to Christ as much as I can. I blog because it's a desire of mine and because I love to write. I would like to think writing is a talent of mine since people say that I write so well. But what about outside of this blog world? I have other talents, skills, and knowledge outside of blogging.

For example, my family likes to call me a walking encyclopedia because I love to research just about every topic I can think of and then just regurgitate what I've learned. Seriously, I am always getting asked "how and why do you know that?" I also love showing people how to do things. I guess you can say I love to teach and I love to give helpful information.

I was thinking about all of this as I was talking to some friends and my sister, when a lightbulb clicked on in my head about what I want to do in life. I know what you're thinking: Tiffany, you have a degree in Comminication with a concentration in Public Relations. I know, but I want to do so much more than that. I want to help influence lives. I want to have purpose beyond writing press releases and putting together media kits. I want to use this platform to venture into other areas to inspire women to be intentional in their marriage, to enjoy making their house a home, to be frugal and live simply, to be content with where they are, and to challenge them to go deeper in their walk with Christ. I know that's pretty vague, but that's my heart's desire. If I am going to blog, it needs to be for His glory. If I am going to use social media, I need to share my knowledge of the Gospel. My love for sharing the loads of information my brain holds should be driven by the Gospel and bringing glory to God's Kingdom.

Anyone have a name for what is that I just described that I want to do? How do you use your talents and knowledge of God for His glory?
