RECIPE: Seared Shrimp with Cheese Grits, Pico De Gallo & Salsa
Okay, I have been saying that I wanted to share recipes with ya'll since forever; like since making that 101 in 1001 list. That was how long ago? Haha. But, I've finally got one to share!
So remember how I raved about the restaurant I took Toby for his birthday last month, Two Urban Licks? I just could not get their bronzed scallops dish out of my head!
This is the one I'm talking about! |
So being all inspired and such, I went excitedly to my freezer and... what happened to all of my scallops? Oh, that's right: I ate the rest of them last week. *sigh* But no worries, there was shrimp! So looking at the picture I took of the dish from the restaurant and trying to memorize what my taste buds tasted (I am sounding so greedy right now), I whipped up an amazing brunch for myself.
Hubby was cooking too so I was stuck with this ginormous pot! lol |
*This is not sponsored; I just really like this stuff!* |
I know ya'll want the recipe, so let's get to it! But first, I must say that I got the salsa recipe here, so make that before you get started on your dish! *Side note: I've been cooking since I was six years old, and eyeball all measurements of seasoning and such. It was really hard trying to quantify a pinch of parsley and a dash of red cayenne pepper!*
There ya have it! I hope you enjoyed not only making this dish, but eating it as well (that's always my favorite part)!
Also, if you haven't please take 30 seconds to fill out this survey I created Wednesday so I can better know you!
