An Amazing Weekend!
I was supposed to have a Fruit Check Friday available this past Friday, but obviously that didn't happen. Actually it's been almost two weeks since the last time I was on this little part of the world. Why? I'm glad you asked! Ha!
Since my last post, I have finished up my summer classes and taken my final. I escaped with one A and four B's. I'll take that, seeing how is summer and all! Oh, and this past Tuesday, one of my best friends, Kesi, graduated with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Statistics! You go, girl!
Thursday began the 2nd Pinky Promise Conference, started by my first lady Heather Lindsey to encourage ladies to honor God with their bodies and lives. Please check out the website; it's like a Facebook just for Christian ladies!
The conference was held at the Westin in Atlanta Thursday through Sunday, and what a weekend it was! Although I spent the conference working alongside my amazing sisters, my life was definitely wrecked at that place! During the day, I would help out with the clothing swap (I scored some amazing free items!), the boutique, and even was appointed to help welcome and assist with Kim Jones-Pothier (Real Talk Kim) and her family! Sidenote: I so wish I'd gotten a picture with her!
In the evenings, there would be two sessions of preaching (there was no way we could fit 1,400 ladies in one room!), so I would listen to the praise and worship of the first one, since praise and worship were different in both sessions, and then stay for the full session of the second one. Let me just tell you: God was truly in that place! Like, seriously. His presence was so thick and everyone felt it. Imagine seeing 750 women in one room on their faces, crying out to their Heavenly Father. Imagine 750 women dancing and singing before Him! It was amazing! I would leave each night so full of Him and more in love with Him.

I could go on and on, but then this post would be entirely too long. We're still waiting on the footage from this conference (I can't wait to get my hands on that!), but thankfully the videos from last year are available on YouTube. I'll also put them in this post so you can get a glimpse of what this weekend looked like, although I think this year was better. Registration for the 2015 conference has already started, so if you like what you see from the videos and websites, please don't hesitate to register! I met so many amazing sisters in Christ this weekend, and I would love to see your faces, too!!
Love you, sis!

P.S. Oh, the Men's Conference took place at the same time, and Toby went to it the first day (he had to work the remainder of the weekend). I heard their conference was amazing and life changing, as well!!
