Fourth of July Weekend Catch Up
Aren't you glad you live in a country that allows you to openly and freely worship God? I know I am!
My weekend wasn't all that eventful, but it was definitely a good one. Simple weekends with the ones I love are truly my favorites.
Friday (July 4th), Toby came over around noon so we could grab some Chickfila and have a picnic at the park near my house. I hadn't seen the man in a week and a half because of our schedules, so I was one happy lady to be around him! We stayed at the park for an hour eating, fighting flies, and studying the Proverbs 4 (from the Proverbs challenge). After, we headed to Atlanta to hang out with two if my girlfriends before Tobz had to head to work (Boooo). After work, we headed to his neighborhood so he could shoot off bottle rockets and fireworks with his neighbors.
Saturday, I was exhausted from getting home past midnight and woke up with a headache so I just stayed in bed. all. day. Nice!
Sunday was of course church day! Anyone else get excited for church? I especially get excited when it's a weekend that Toby doesn't have to work and we can go to church together. I love waking up expecting to hear some great Word and have great fellowship! I truly love my church. We're small, and we are definitely not perfect, but we're family, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
After church, Toby and I hung out with our newlywed friends at this cute mexican grill (Yay to adding another restaurant to my 101 in 1001 days list!) and even helped them make two new additions to their little family: a blue and an orange fish!
Can't beat a finale like that to a weekend!
Love you, sis!
