June Goals

How are we halfway through why I would still consider the new year? How is it that in a couple of weeks, Toby and I will have been married for half of a year?! Thinking about this has prompted me to go back and look at my goals for 2015 last night. I only have six more months left to make those happen. Six more months to really be intentional.

This past weekend has been one of my busiest, but also one of my favorites of 2015. After a busy week with work and home stuff, Toby and I headed to North Carolina Thursday evening with some friends to attend our friends' wedding. Then we left Friday night to head back to Atlanta to help my best friend prepare for her graduation party turned baby announcement turned gender reveal on Saturday. Then Sunday was church and my other best friend's son's third birthday party.

You can say that this girl is tired! But my heart is so full! THIS is what makes life fun. I realized this weekend that celebrating life with others is necessary. Community is vital. This weekend has sparked my desire to just enjoy life again. To celebrate life. This month, my desire is to celebrate six months being married to my love. I want to celebrate that our apartment. I want to prepare for the celebration of Toby's 25th birthday next month. So my goals for June are:

  • Complete relationship calendar. I found the calendar via Pinterest here, and we are excited to start this month! Even though we have only been married for just shy of six months, we have been together for almost seven years and have fallen into a pretty comfortable routine. We are ready to think outside the box and be intentional with our marriage this month!
  • Save up for Toby's birthday. Toby turns 25 next month and while I still have no clue as to what to do for his birthday, I at least want to have the funds to have a lot of options. I plan on doing this by saving all of my spending money.
  • Throw an apartment warming. We moved into our apartment in March and I think it's time we celebrate that with family and friends!
I am so excited for June! I am ready for some summertime fun! Let me know what some of your goals are!
