The Liebster Award!

Good evening, ya'll! This blog is coming to you later than usual because I have just been super busy lately! I feel like I have 1,449,238 things to do and so little time to get it all done. But that's not the point of this post today.

A couple of weeks ago, I was nominated for the Liebster Award by one of my new favorite bloggers, Danielle of Enjoy This Beautiful Season! Ya'll this lady is seriously so sweet and I always leave her blog feeling inspired and encouraged, whether about being more intentional or sprucing up my apartment (seriously her Creating a Beautiful Home You Love series will make you want to pin just about all of her pictures, which I admit I actually have!). Seriously check her blog out. You're welcome!

So what is the Liebster Award? It is basically an award, created by bloggers, for new and upcoming bloggers to encourage community and support. Seriously, I did not expect to be nominated but I am so humbled and honored! This is such an amazing way to encourage other bloggers and I want to extend that encouragement to a dear friend of mine, Marissa of Jesus Filter. Marissa and I went to the same church and I was blessed to watch her grow so much in her relationship with Christ, especially this past year when she was led to move from Atlanta to Los Angeles on faith! Go on over, read, and say hi!

Okay, so this award comes with a set of questions that I am to answer so that you can know a little more about this little lady that writes to you (or tries to write to you) about three times a week. How fun, right?! Here it goes:

  • What is one item you could NOT live without?
Hmmm, this is seriously a hard one! I have so many things that I feel that I can't live without, which shows me how attached I really am to temporal, earthly things (yes, I just got all "deep" on you, haha). But if it had to choose, it would be one of the following depending on my mood: lip balm, Bible, glasses (I have horrible vision!), iPhone.
  • What is something/someone who really makes you laugh?
This is going to sound so immature, but my husband, siblings and I love to watch Vine compilations. Like, we have literally spent hours cramped around a laptop laughing and crying! Right now, my favorite Viner (is that what they are called?) has to be the Eh Bee family because not only do they crack me up, but the whole family is involved.
  • If you could change your first name, what would you change it to and why?
I honestly don't think I would change my name. Although it is definitely not the most original name, I like it. Even though when I hear my name I automatically think of some extremely colorful tween from the 80's bopping around to Cyndi Lauper, Tiffany is actually of Greek origin and means "the appearance of God". I'll take it!
  • What is the story behind your blog name?
Okay, I just changed the name of this blog to In All Things back in May, and you can read about that here.  But in a nutshell, I want my life to point back to Christ in all things and in all areas of my life. Before it was In All Things, it was called Dear Sister, for I felt as if I was writing letters to my sisters in Christ.
  • What is the best thing you have ever splurged on yourself?
Hmmm, another hard one. If you know me, you know I can be on the frugal side so I don't splurge on myself, although I don't hesitate to splurge on those I love. But I would have to say that it is a cross between my flat screen TV back in my sophomore year of college (my first adult purchase) and my bed and mattress that I got a few years back, which is so freaking comfy!
  • If you could spend the day with one celebrity, who would it be?
Hands down, Lauren Conrad. Not, Laguna Beach and The Hills LC, but the post reality TV LC. This girl has like the best wardrobe, closet, and social skills. This girl has two clothing lines, writes books, has an amazing site, gives great tips on all things hosting, decor, and fashion, and have you seen her Pinterest boards? I would love to just have lunch with her, notebook and pen in hand, and say "teach me, wise one!"
  • What did you want to be when you grew up?
In my hearts of hearts, an actress. With that at the core, I jumped around from wanting to be a writer, a teacher, and a pediatrician. I actually spent four years of college as a biology major before I switched to communications. More on that later.
  • What is your favorite place in the entire world?
This is so cheesy, but I don't care! I love to just sit in the bed with Toby and watch Friends or my favorite YouTube channels together.
  • If you had a superpower, what would it be?
It would be flying hands down because this impatient little girl hates traffic and being late. If I could fly, I could bypass slow, crazy drivers, and just fly off to an amazing island for the day without having to pay a dime!
  • What book are you currently reading?
I am loving loving loving Lord, Teach Me to Pray by Kay Arthur! I have a couple more days to finish this book to complete one of my July goals.

I hope that shed a little more light on who I am and that you got to know me a little better! Now it is Marissa's turn to answer these questions and nominate someone herself! Danielle, thank you for nominating me! You're seriously the sweetest! And thank ya'll for your support of In All Things. Ya'll seriously make blogging so rewarding!
