My Best Friend is Engaged!
I have such exciting news: my best friend, Nigeria, is engaged! *squeals*
I am so honored that her now fiance allowed me to be in on this. He first told me back in February that he was going to propose to her and I could not have been more excited. My best friend is gonna be a fiance, then a wife! It was so hard trying to conceal my excitement and not spill the beans during these past five months.
But on Friday, B (he likes his privacy) called me and told me that it was the day he was going to ask her to be his wife. And do you know what my response was?
"Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!"
He took her to a late lunch and then let me know when they were on their way back so that I could go into their apartment (perks of living in the same apartment complex as your bestie and having your own key), get the camera, and make my way to the top floor of the apartment building. We have the cutest walking trail as our "backyard" with flowers, trees, and benches. Once I saw them walking along the trail from where I was at the top of the building, I quietly ran down the stairs, waited for him to propose and started taking pictures. The rest is history! She tearfully (happy tears, ladies and gents!) said yes and they had the sweetest little moment in their own little newly engaged world. Then we squealed and giggled and goggled over that amazing ring that looked ever so comfortable on her finger.
Congrats Nigeria and B! I am so excited to witness this amazing journey! Now, let's have a wedding!
